The time has come to really try and be more creative outside the dark dank prison barred room I spend most of life in at work. Yes I am a creative in the TV advertising industry I am a Motion Designer, Sounds flash.. oh yeah.. actually no it’s not. You see I get to create the graphics and animations for some big very well companies who outsource their work, to us.
As a post production house, we also occasionally have people like, Lena from Game of Thrones, or Soap stars and even Hollywood upper crust for ADR (additional voice recording). Working in that environment makes it tiring to start again when you get home, and the offensive amount of money they get for doing fuck all and talking into a mic for 20 mins, (tens of thousands for low end adverts + royalties every time its played) commuting in the rain, and looking at the same tired faces on the same delayed or cancelled train due to lack of drivers, 4x this month the trains were cancelled due to no drivers, seems 65k is not enough for these greedy bastards. A bus driver turns a wheel, a train driver moves a lever back and forth, I know I used to play train simulator no stop :)

Operation God Dam Van.
Yes the van is broken again, I swear people must be bored of me talking about it now and it is one of the reason I don’t make videos on it anymore, how the hell could I sell it when ‘Peper’ lets me down every other month. My wallet no longer talks to me and gives me the silent treatment crying I have not fed it.
I hoped creating some merch (as the kids call it these days) might put a few English pennies in the coffers, let’s get it out there straight away, it’s tiring. Designing, getting the right files sizes, and quality, sorting transparency out, worrying about screen RGB colours are they way different to the CMYK for printing. Will anybody buy these? Are they good enough? Do I buy stock? Who prints them? Labels? Bags? Postage? Costs.. waste of time? It is a lot to take in and the stress is large, dunno why, I have no deadline or anybody to impress.
I am designing them myself, vanlife uk shirts & Hoodies, mtb uk Tshirts & Hoodies, hiking and Supuk Tshirts & hoodies uk and pressing them at home in my living room, I want the quality to be top notch, and I will not release any if they don’t look great or are not up to standard.
5 designs seems plenty, let’s stick to black and white t-shirts and hoodies for now, then expand into sports tops and mtb, polyester garments later. Run before you walk or so that over used cliche tells us, indeed I haven’t even got my boots on the ground yet, see what I did there? Genius.
I now have some design incorporating vanlife, sup life, mtb life and hiking life, I have so many designs but I constantly change my mind on what I like and what feels naff.
It would be great if I could even make £100 profit, I would use that towards paying for the van and any left over fuel costs. Heaven forbid I sell a few more I could pay for the repairs to the van, and possibly in the future pay for a pop top. Making my life easier and enhancing my wanting to get out on the road again.
